Now that Back To School is just around the corner, Nike is dealing out a sizable variety of basic releases. And joining the mix is, of course, the Air Max 90, which has opted to tweak the classic “Triple Black” colorway.

Deceptively straightforward, this Air Max 90 offers much more in the way of branding than it seems like at a glance. Alongside the blue-tinted logos — which dress the tongue, insole, and heel tab — the mudguard features a print replete with blacked out Swooshes, each, though, is difficult to make out thanks to their matching backdrop. Adjacent hits of leather and mesh, on the other, are not quite as distracting, as they prefer a simple, solid-colored look.
