After forever changing the history books in ’87 with visible Air cushioning, the Nike Air Max 1 has gained cult status and has become rooted in collecting culture. Tinker Hatfield’s brainchild has stood the test of time with various paint-ups and textures over the years still keeping the inside-out form that was inspired by Paris’ Centre Goerges Pompidou. This time around, we see the silhouette subject to a luminous ‘Multi-Colour’ paint-up for the Summer season.
The pair are set up with a mostly simple white leather base with smooth beige overlays. Swooshing, the lower quarters are where the model gets defined with colour blocking that extends onto the midsoles, while branded heels are painted in orange. Beneath, a midsole showcases Air cushioning, carrying each step with supportive bounce while vibrant grippy rubber covers the outsole signing off the design.
