With the advent of Web3, Nike has made a concerted effort to prepare themselves for what could very well be the future of not just the internet but the world as a whole. Alongside joining forces with established creators like RTFKT, they established their very own marketplace: .SWOOSH.
Introduced towards the tail end of 2022, .SWOOSH serves as the hub for Nike’s virtual creations, all the while establishing a community where aspiring designers can not just collect and trade but also create. And much like Cryptokicks — another one of the footwear giant’s Web3 initiatives — .SWOOSH would eventually spawn physical product, the first of which has just surfaced via official images.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low .SWOOSH — which features the marketplace’s name and logo across the frontside and backside of the tongue, the sockliner, and the forefoot of the shoe — takes a playful approach to digital-turned-physical product. The heels, for example, thread “THIS IS NOT A JPEG” in bold, blue lettering, matching the cool-toned insignia that brands the colorway as one of .SWOOSH’s own. The base, constructed primarily out of a tumbled leather, features a split, white-on-black color scheme, while neutral midsoles and icy bottoms sit below.
Enjoy an official look at the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low .SWOOSH ahead. More details regarding the pair’s release should surface very soon.
