Nicky Kyrgios has withdrawn from competing at Wimbledon this year on the eve of the prestigious grass court competition getting underway.
Last year’s men’s finalist was set to kick-start his Wimbledon journey in a first round clash against Belgium’s David Goffin on Monday, but has now confirmed he won’t be featuring.
Kyrgios posted an emotional statement on his Instagram late on Sunday evening where he explained that a wrist injury has ruled him out of competing.
