A sheepish Nick Kyrgios was blanked by Gordon Ramsay just moments after revealing the TV chef was the most famous contact in his phone.

During an interview with the ATP Tour, the Australian was asked to disclose the most famous name in his contacts book and a self-deprecating Kyrgios said he had Ramsay’s details after working together on a TV show.

‘I don’t know. I’ve got some tennis players in there, but I don’t know,’ he said.

‘Okay, Gordon Ramsay I guess. You know, we did a little TV show together, so it’s coming to Australia. So yeah, probably Gordon. He’s a good lad.’

When asked to FaceTime the Hell’s Kitchen star, Kyrgios was prepared for rejection and was unsurprised when Ramsay did not pick up.

‘It’s FaceTiming. I don’t think he’s going to pick up though. I’m not even expecting him to pick up so it’s fine.

‘No, it’s not happening. He’s probably cooking lunch.’

Elsewhere, Kyrgios is finally returning to tennis after a long injury layoff, with the Aussie star lining up in the Stuttgart Open on Wednesday morning as he prepares for another Wimbledon tilt.

The 28-year-old, who is the eighth seed in the tournament, will go up against China’s Wu Yibing in Germany for what will be his first singles match since the Japan Open last October.

The tennis bad boy pulled out of the Australian Open to get surgery on a debilitating knee injury, and it has been a long road back for the outspoken star.

‘I’m coming back at a tournament (where) I’ve done really well in the past, played some amazing matches.

‘I’m super excited to be here again and to get out there and play.’
