Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie has been traded multiple times during his nine-year NBA career. He’s spent most of his career with the Nets and has had some of his best seasons with the team. However, this time around will probably be his toughest test yet.

In Monday’s 124-106 loss to the New York Knicks, Dinwiddie had 28 points, but that came on 8-of-21 shooting from the field and 3-of-10 fron three-point land. With the Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant trades completely changing Brooklyn’s roster, Dinwiddie is now one of just a few playmakers for this iteration of the Nets.

One could see that Dinwiddie was trying too hard to make things happen as he shot the ball 11 more times than the next-highest player, which was Cameron Johnson was 10 shots. It’s clear that this new-look Nets will have to learn how to play together, but the early signs are that it will take more time. Dinwiddie reacted to the loss after the game:

“This is my first situation like this, where it’s been like a complete overhaul at the trade deadline. When I got traded to Dallas last year, I mean, the structure was already pretty much set in stone. It was mostly just like, hey, plugin, this is what we’re doing. I mean shoot, seven out of their nine-man rotation was already kind of set for the most part, or eight out of 10 Probably, I guess.”
