Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons is now dealing with back soreness in addition to the knee soreness that he was already rehabbing from, Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn said prior to Friday’s game at the Boston Celtics. Simmons has missed 20 out of a possible 62 games this season because of various ailments related to his knees and back.

The last time that Simmons has played for Brooklyn was Feb. 15 against the Miami Heat, when he had two points and four assists in a little over 20 minutes of play. According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, Simmons spent the All-Star break rehabbing his knee injury so that he could make it back to the court sooner than later.

Vaughn was asked if there was any discussions about shutting Simmons down for the rest of this season because of the amount of time he has missed and Vaughn said that the organization hasn’t considered that yet. There has not been a return date set for when Simmons will be back on the court for Brooklyn.
