The Philadelphia 76ers were coming off an impressive win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday to begin this trip as they rallied from 13 points down to win the game. As they took on the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, it could have been a loss as they could have fallen into an emotional trap.
Instead, the Sixers made sure that wouldn’t happen. They led the Hornets by as many as 42 points on their way to a rather easy 121-82 win over Charlotte on the road. Joel Embiid was almost toying with Hornets defenders out there as he had 38 points on 16-for-21 shooting while grabbing 13 rebounds, dining out five assists, and blocking four shots. It was an absolutely impressive win.
Along with another huge Embiid night, James Harden added 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, Tobias Harris had 18 points, and Tyrese Maxey had 13. Shake Milton had 12 and Paul Reed had eight and 10 rebounds off the bench.
