After Lazar Samardzic, it is reported another deal between Napoli and Udinese is on the verge of collapse, as Nehuen Perez is no longer set to move.

The clubs have been in negotiations for weeks over the two players and Samardzic was dropped first, but Perez had seemed all set to make the move within hours.

Instead, Tuttomercatoweb claim that talks have stalled badly today, linked with Napoli’s decision to keep Leo Ostigard, despite interest from Torino and Udinese.

The plan had been for Napoli to purchase Perez for circa €16m plus another €2m in bonuses.

However, the 23-year-old is now no longer a primary target for the Partenopei, who seem to have shifted to a three-man defence under coach Walter Mazzarri.

There is a knock-on effect too, as if Perez does not leave, then Udinese can let go of Salernitana defender Matteo Lovato and leave him to Torino.

The Granata need a centre-back more urgently after Alessandro Buongiorno dislocated his shoulder.
