José Mourinho is in talks with Al-Shabab and could already meet his former club Roma in a friendly next week.
Mourinho was sacked by the Giallorossi on Tuesday and replaced with club legend Daniele De Rossi. Although Mou’s agent Jorge Mendes has claimed it is ‘too early’ to know Mourinho’s next club, several sources claim the Special One has not closed the door to an offer from Saudi side Al-Shabab.
Sky Sport Italia claims the Special One is open to joining the Saudi club, and if he ends up signing his contract in the coming days, he will immediately face his former club in a friendly in Riyadh.
Roma, in fact, will travel to Saudi Arabia next week to face Al-Shabab on Wednesday 24 in a friendly that was agreed upon as part of a sponsorship deal with Riyadh Season last year.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter legend Dejan Stankovic, a former Mourinho player at Inter, is also on Al-Shabab’s radars.
New Roma coach Daniele De Rossi will make his debut on the Giallorossi bench tomorrow against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Olimpico.
