After joining forces with Boston-based sneaker boutique Bodega in July, Salomon has tapped Maison Margiela for its next sneaker project.
These Salomon Cross styles are the first sneaker collab between the French sportswear company and the luxury fashion house’s MM6 diffusion line. According to the brands, the striking designs fuse Salomon’s performance-oriented approach with Maison Margiela’s avant-garde aesthetic to create five bold iterations of the Cross Low and High sneakers. Both silhouettes come in predominantly red and black colorways, with the Cross Low getting a separate multicolored makeup.
“Our motivation was to create a shoe that could easily transition between cityscapes and the great outdoors—a single product that both maintained Salomon’s high-performance specifications and also resonated with MM6 Maison Margiela’s contemporary aesthetic,” MM6 Maison Margiela said.
This MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon Cross sneaker collection will be released on Friday, Nov. 11, at maisonmargiela.com and at select retailers.
