The final day of the 2023 Masters is set to get underway later today, with 88 golfers going head-to-head for the coveted green jacket. 

Yesterday, rain once again stopped play at The Masters, after greens became saturated by the conditions. Players struggled to play in the conditions and many were finding it difficult to control the ball and stop it on the saturated greens.

Before the third round was suspended Brooks Koepka extended his Masters lead over Jon Rahm to four shots. Koepka was one under through six holes and four clear of Rahm, who had slipped back to nine under following back-to-back bogeys at the fourth and fifth.

Jack Nicklaus has won the most Masters tournaments with six. The former golfing legend won in 1965, 1965, 1966, 1972, 1975 and 1986. Tiger Woods is close behind Nicklaus with five wins in total. His last win at the tournament came in 2019, finishing one shot ahead of Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka.

What is the Masters schedule on Day Four?

The conclusion of the third round will resume at 1:30pm (BST)/ 8.30am (EDT)/ and 7.30am (CT).

This year’s final round is also set to take place later today and is expected to start at 5:30pm (BST).

For those watching the action in America, the final round is expected to start at 12:30pm (EDT) and 11:30am (CT).

The final round tee times will be released following the conclusion of the third round today. Officials said pairings will be split between the No. 1 and No. 10 holes.

Over the past 40 years, the tournament has successfully finished on a Sunday as scheduled. 

With play having to be suspended yesterday, today is set to be yet another miserable day at Augusta according to The Weather Channel.

There is a 60 per cent chance of rain throughout the day as well as cloudy spells during the course of the action.
