LeBron after All-Star Game: Steph is from ‘different planet’ originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
The 2022 NBA All-Star Game brought back NBA Finals memories as Steph Curry and LeBron James shared the court at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland on Sunday.
But lucky for LeBron, Steph was on his team this time around.
From one Akron, Ohio, native to another, LeBron paid his respects after Steph’s historic performance. Steph turned weekend-long boos into standing ovations after exploding for 50 points, including an All-Star Game record 16 threes.
He put on a show that made Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse forget all the damage he has done in there and to the Cavaliers organization.
The Lakers superstar had to give props to Steph for helping Team Lebron remain undefeated (5-0) in the All-Star game.
“Steph, c’mon man, this guy is from a different planet,” James told reporters after the game. “He literally has an automatic sniper connected to his arm, and when he lets it go, not only himself but everyone on the floor, in the stands, on TV, on their phones, think it’s going in every time. And nine times out of 10, sometimes 10 times out of 10 it does go in. So to be out there and watch that kid from Akron as well shoot the ball the way he shot it, it was unbelievable, it was pretty cool.”

It wasn’t a surprise to anyone that Steph ended up winning the NBA All-Star Game Kobe Bryant MVP Award.
And even though it’s always been love between Steph and LeBron, the nice words will likely be put on hold as tensions rise in the Western Conference during the last stretch before playoffs.
