There’s no veiling Kourtney Kardashian’s love for Travis Barker.
The reality star married the rocker — again — in Portofino, Italy, on Sunday, clad in a lingerie-inspired Dolce & Gabbana dress and dramatic veil that included a touching tribute to the groom.
Kardashian’s tulle headpiece was hand-embroidered with a giant depiction of the Virgin Mary and the words “family loyalty respect,” based on Barker’s large head tattoo featuring the same religious iconography and text.
Done with a “cross stitch” technique, as Dolce & Gabbana shared on Instagram Sunday, the design “is a symbol of alliance, respect and common devotion,” and was surrounded by floral lace appliqués inspired by Portofino flowers.
Barker, 46, is famously covered in tattoos from head to toe, and has spoken out about his religious-themed ink in the past.
“I got the Virgin Mary tattooed on my forearm when I was 18, 19 and I was brought up Catholic,” he told Vice in 2015.
“I definitely pray; I believe in God. I definitely think I was blessed. So I’m not at church every day and I’m not pushing religion on people. But I believe in God and I pray and my kids pray.”
Barker has tons of other tattoos, including multiple dedicated to his new bride; not only does he have her name inked near his heart, but she also was the one to inscribe “I love you” in her own handwriting on his arm.
Kardashian’s cathedral-length veil — which required the assistance of two white-suited men so the 43-year-old star could walk down the aisle — was the ideal complement to her white silk lace and satin corset dress, which “took inspiration from the iconic figures of Italian lingerie and la dolce vita,” per the Italian fashion house.
Barker also wore Dolce & Gabbana for the couple’s wedding, as did the entire Kardashian-Jenner family, including the bride’s children Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7, and the groom’s daughter Alabama, 16, and stepdaughter Atiana, 23.
