Kourtney Kardashian felt “pushed into doing IVF” with her husband, Travis Barker.
The “Kardashians” star explained on Dear Media’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast on Tuesday that her age played a factor in the pressure she and the Blink-182 member felt.
“If you even look anything up online about things you can do to help get pregnant … it says on there, like, ‘If you’re over 40’ — or it might even say something younger — it says, ‘Go right away,’” the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum, 43, said.
“So I felt a little bit pushed.”
The Poosh creator noted that she and the rocker, 46, are “now done with IVF” and hoping that “God blesses [them] with a baby.”
The former E! personality, who wed Barker in May, is already the mother of three children with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
The former couple welcomed son Mason, now 12, in 2009, followed by daughter Penelope, 10, and son Reign, 7, in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
As for Barker, the drummer shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16, with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler. He also maintains a close relationship with his 23-year-old former stepdaughter, Atiana.
Since Barker and Kardashian began dating in 2021, they’ve done “hard” work to blend their family — which has been made “easier” by their longtime friendship.
“There are so many emotions involved with so many kids,” the reality star told host Amanda Hirsch.
“I think we’re at a really good place,” Kardashian continued. “I think we’re really patient and taking it slow … with the kids and just keeping everyone in their comfortable place.”
She and Barker have been vocal about their plans to have a child of their own since March, with their journey documented on Kardashian’s famous family’s Hulu show.
“Travis and I want to have a baby,” she said in a May episode, later revealing that she had been instructed by her fertility specialist to ingest her partner’s sperm.
“I love this doctor,” the Grammy nominee joked at the time.
Last month, Kardashian slammed rumors that she was expecting after posting a lingerie selfie cradling her bare stomach.
“You’re missing a woman’s body,” the Lemme creator clapped back at an Instagram troll asking whether they missed a pregnancy announcement.
The comment came one month after Kardashian clarified to a social media user that she is a “woman with a BODY,” not a baby bump.
