The Queen of Pop would be proud.
Kim Kardashian sat front row at the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week Wednesday, dressed in a look that referenced one of Madonna’s most memorable (and controversial) outfits of all time.
The Skims founder’s slim pinstriped dress featured an eye-catching bodice with nude cups at the chest, which likely drew double takes from more than a few folks in attendance.
But Kardashian’s look was downright demure compared to the one that inspired it.
Back in 1992, ultimate Gaultier muse Madonna hit the runway at an amfAR fashion show wearing a near-identical striped dress beneath an oversized blazer, joined by the French designer.
Once she reached the end of the catwalk, Madge whipped off her jacket to reveal her outfit’s built-in leather harness, which perfectly framed (and completely exposed) her breasts.
Perhaps Kardashian opted for a toned-down take on Madonna’s shocking frock because her 9-year-old daughter, North West, was in attendance at Wednesday’s show — as was her mother, Kris Jenner.
Still, she put her own edgy spin on the peekaboo style by adding a chunky silver collar and chain-trimmed nose ring, a nod to Gaultier’s spring 1994 “Les Tatouages” collection; North even matched with a faux piercing of her own.
Kardashian, 41, has had a headline-making week in Paris. Earlier on Wednesday, the platinum-haired reality star walked the runway at Balenciaga’s show, joining other celebrity models like Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa and “Selling Sunset” star Christine Quinn.
Blame it on her “Blond Ambition.”
