Never let them see you sweat.
Temperatures soared to over 90 degrees in New York City Wednesday — but Kim Kardashian doesn’t let something as mundane as the weather cramp her style.
The Skims founder was snapped out and about in Manhattan wearing a heavy black leather jacket and a pair of her beloved Balenciaga “pantashoes,” with not a single bead of sweat on her brow.
Doubling down on her commitment to climate-defying fashion, she stepped out later the same day sporting a (zipped-up!) Balenciaga tracksuit jacket ($1,750) and pants ($1,150), yet somehow didn’t pass out.
It’s hardly the first time Kardashian, 41, has picked puzzling looks for a heat wave; back in July 2020, she braved a 90-degree California day in a sweaty-looking green leather jumpsuit. During New York Fashion Week in 2015, she threw on a fur coat and over-the-knee suede boots, despite temperatures that reached the mid-80s — while pregnant with son Saint, no less.
And in 2018, she even poked fun at her apparent immunity to heat and humidity by sharing a street style snap of herself in a slouchy Yeezy sweatshirt and yet another pair of thigh-grazing boots, quipping, “It was just like 110 in Calabasas.”
Sure, Kardashian has an air-conditioned SUV idling outside wherever she goes. But still, wouldn’t she be more comfortable sweating it out in a tank top and jean shorts like the rest of us?
Then again, she did mention resorting to a sauna suit to lose weight for her Marilyn Monroe Met Gala moment — so perhaps this is just her high-fashion way of maintaining her progress.
