Khloé Kardashian had a tumor removed from her face, nearly 20 years after finding a cancerous mole on her back.
The reality star wrote via Instagram Stories Tuesday that she has seen “numerous stories going around about the ever-evolving bandage” on her face over the past few weeks.
The “Kardashians” star set the record straight, explaining that she had a “small bump” on her cheek biopsied after it refused to budge for seven months.
After the growth was examined by two doctors, the Good American co-creator, 38, was advised to have an “immediate operation” to remove the tumor.
“I’m grateful to share that Dr. Fischer was able to get everything,” Kardashian gushed, adding that her “margins appear clear.”
She went on to write, “Now we are onto the healing process.
“You’ll continue to see my bandages and when I’m allowed, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation in my cheek from the tumor being removed) but until then I hope you enjoy how fabulous I’m making these face bandages look,” she continued.
Kardashian advised her followers to “get checked … frequently,” going on to describe her previous experiences with skin cancer.
“At 19 years old, I had melanoma on my back, and I had a surgery to remove that, as well,” the reality star wrote. “I am pre-composed [sic] to melanomas. … I am someone who wears sunscreen every day religiously, so no one is exempt from these things.”
Kardashian concluded with a collage of pics of her rocking various bandages on her cheek, including a sweet snap with daughter True, 4.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum, who is also the mother of a 2-month-old baby boy, has shared her skin cancer experiences before.
In 2016, she told viewers of her family’s E! show that she had a mole on her chest biopsied.
“Thankfully, it was benign,” Kardashian said at the time. “I haven’t had a problem in years but wanted to share my experience with you so that if you notice something doesn’t look right, you will take action and take care of your health.”
