Kenneth Cole’s new purpose-driven aims to support mental health.

Launched last week, the “Temporary” experiential retail project on the corner of Bond St. and Bowery St. in Lower Manhattan features 13 in-store exclusive menswear footwear and apparel looks from Kenneth Cole’s fall collection.

“Since March 2020, we have all been living with a sense of institutionalized uncertainty,” the brand said in a statement. “As the world continues to evolve, we’ve curated a living, breathing store concept that’s inspired by change.”

The shop will feature 13 menswear styles from the latest collection.

In addition to the Mind, Body and Sole-themed fall collection, the popup will also feature Kenneth Cole’s “Voice Wear” collection of T-shirts and other products featuring slogans supporting social causes. “The messages are relevant, thoughtful, and engaging, inspiring others to wear their heart on their chest and be always on purpose,” the brand said.

A portion of store sales will support the Mental Health Coalition—an organization founded by the brand’s eponymous creator in 2020 to unite brands and organizations committed to de-stigmatizing mental health challenges. He also promotes mental health awareness alongside the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

The store will feature new collections each quarter.

Kenneth Cole chose the store’s location because of the neighborhood’s progressive community, the brand added. Pressed Juicery will provide complimentary juices to shoppers. Uber delivers purchases to any of New York City’s five boroughs free of charge within one day.

The brand plans to use the space to house quarterly popups with different themes and missions after the current “Temporary” run ends in the spring.
