A new report suggests that Jose Mourinho is considering his future as Roma manager, with his current deal set to expire in the summer.

The Special One, 60, is in the final year of his contract with the Serie A club, which will expire at the end of June.

And with no new contract negotiations between Mourinho and Roma, it seems that the Portuguese boss could leave the Stadio Olimpico in the summer to pursue new opportunities elsewhere.

Foot Mercato report that Mourinho is considering his options at Roma, who currently sit eighth in Serie A.

Last month, he told reporters he wanted to continue at Roma, although there would have to be discussions about how the limitations of financial fair play would impact upon the club.

Now, it seems that the 60-year-old has changed his mind, and might be leaving Italy after all at the end of his three-year deal.

The report adds that the former Chelsea and Man United manager has been partially influenced by the departure of Tiago Pinto, with whom he had a positive working relationship at Roma.

Mourinho has been linked with the vacant job managing the Brazilian national team, whilst he has also attracted interest from Saudi Pro League sides.

For their part, Roma are also considering who will replace Mourinho when he leaves, with Monza boss Raffaele Palladino, Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini and Torino’s Ivan Juric among those admired by the capital city club.

Former Marseille manager Igor Tudor and former Spurs boss Antonio Conte are also among potential options for the Roma hot seat once Mourinho leaves the club.

Mourinho is the subject of a Netflix documentary which comes out on Thursday, which the Portuguese boss agreed to before taking over at Roma in May 2021.

The contents of the show remain to be seen, but Mourinho is likely to discuss his spells with each of his former employers over his 24-years managing across Europe.
