Sophie’s arrival comes as the USA ramps up its preparation for the biennial tournament against Europe.

The Americans will be looking to end their drought on European soil next week and retain the Ryder Cup in Rome.

Spieth was named as one of Zach Johnson’s six captain’s picks and is set to make his fifth appearance at the Ryder Cup. He missed the USA’s scouting trip to Marco Simone due to Annie’s pregnancy.

Spieth popped the question to his high school sweetheart in 2017. He and the Texas Tech graduate officially tied the knot in November 2018 – getting married in their home state of Texas – and according to Golf.com, fellow golf stars Fowler, Jason Dufner, Jimmy Walker, and Zach Johnson were some of the players in attendance.

Sammy has made a handful of public appearances, including at the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow, where he adorably wore headphones to protect his ears from the noise.

He also stole the show at The Masters earlier this year during the Par 3 contest, when players’ wives and children traditionally caddy.

He had a blast rolling around in bunkers, testing the Augusta rough and even hitting a few putts with the help of dad.

The toddler has even been babysat by fan favorite Tom Kim at Christmas time after the South Korean struck up a close friendship with Spieth.

‘Oh, my God, Sammy’s amazing. He’s the most wonderful little boy I think I’ve ever met,’ said Kim, via Sports Illustrated. ‘He’s just absolutely amazing. So definitely I’ve seen a lot of kids, but he’s, he definitely makes it a lot easier.’

‘My wife has been just a rock to me,’ he told SI.com in April 2021 following his win at the Valero Texas Open. ‘This is my first win since we’ve been married so it’s been progressing this way since maybe December.

‘Before that, there were a lot of tough times. When you’re struggling at work, you try not to bring it home and that kind of stuff. I’m very grateful for the people I have around me.’
