It was two holes and two expletive-laden commentaries for Jordan Spieth on Saturday morning, as he endured a rough start to his third round at the PGA Championship.

The three-time major champion only made the cut by a single shot on Friday, and his poor week in New York continued when he bogeyed the first and then didn’t like his tee shot on the second.

To make it worse for the American, hot mics picked up his very honest takes, as he hit a tree on the first hole and exclaimed, ‘Holy s*** Jordan!’

Just seconds prior to that, a hilarious ESPN graphic had detailed exactly where the shot had landed – among the portable bathrooms alongside the fairway.

A few minutes later, beginning his second hole, Spieth was again heard swearing on the microphone, noting: ‘Dammit, hit one good f***ing iron shot!’

It has been a rough week for a whole host of big names at Oak Hill, with Justin Thomas also only just making the cut and Jon Rahm and Cam Smith also ending at +4 after the first two rounds.

At the other end of the leaderboard, a very consistent Scottie Scheffler leads the pack at five-under-par, with Corey Conners and Viktor Hovland alongside him.

Justin Suh and the big-hitting Bryson DeChambeau are two shots back at T4, with the weather having taken a turn in upstate New York for the third round.

On Sunday evening, the winner of the PGA Championship will take home a cool $2.7million.
