On Saturday night, golfer John Daly showed up at Grammy Award-winning producer DJ Khaled’s 48th birthday party.

Daly posted a few pictures to his Instagram of him mingling with other famous guests such as singer Ne-Yo and rapper Raekwon.

There was also a woman dressed as a mermaid swimming in a tank at the party.

Khaled took up golf as a hobby this year and previously said one of the people that got in contact with him for a tee time was Daly.

And while the scores from those encounters aren’t available, the hangout must’ve gone well if Daly is at Khaled’s birthday party.

How much Daly and Khaled have hung out on or off the golf course is unknown, but Daly invited both Raekwon and Ne-Yo to play a round with him in the photos.

Daly is a two-time major-tournament winner, having turned professional in 1997 but is just as loved for his lifestyle off the course.

In interviews over the years, Daly has claimed he vomits if he eats vegetables and only drinks water through the ice in his diet coke.

Such is the fascination that CBS sports reporter Will Brinson once tweeted his hawkeye findings of Daly’s diet, taking ‘meticulous notes every time he reached for his golf bag, took a bite or a sip or a puff’ during the 2008 Wyndham Championship.

‘The final tally of literally everything he put into his body over a full 18 holes: 21 cigs, 12 Diet Cokes, 6 packs of Peanut M&M’s, 0.0 ounces of water,’ Brinson tweeted.

‘Rich Beam (fellow American golfer) calls me ‘camel’ cos I never drink water. I drink diet coke, I like to have ice which to me is water so I get plenty of water in my diet coke,’ Daly said in an interview with Graham Bensinger in 2016 – wearing a stars and stripes blazer.

‘I don’t drink water. I hate water. I cannot stand to drink water. I used to drink 12-20 diet cokes a day, I’d go to McDonald’s three or four times a day. To me they always had the best fountain drink.

‘Burger King, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, I love them. I used to be able to eat two Big Macs, two or three cheeseburgers, chocolate shake and regular coke back then, sitting pretty easily.’

The 57-year-old Daly could hold his own with the best in golf when he was at the peak of his powers. He has won two Majors, the 1991 PGA Championship and the 1995 British Open.

Daly’s son, John Daly II, is a golfer at Arkansas, which is also his father’s alma mater.

Khaled has been nominated for 10 Grammys over the years, with his lone win coming in 2020.

In the ‘Best Rap/Sung Performance’ category, Khaled received a Grammy alongside Nipsey Hussle and John Legend for the song ‘Higher.’

Khaled was also previously a panelist on FOX’s singing competition ‘The Four: Battle for Stardom.’
