IPL 2023 Transfers: MI Retained Players LIST: In IPL 2023’s first transfer, Mumbai Indians have traded Jason Behrendorff from Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Australian fast-bowler remained unused for RCB with Josh Hazlewood being the preferred pacer. This will be Behrendorff’s 2nd stint with MI as he returns after a three-year absence. He was acquired by RCB in the IPL 2022 Auction for his base price of Rs 75 lakh. Behrendorff has previously represented the Chennai Super Kings in 2021, Mumbai Indians in 2018 and Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2022. The left-arm quick has played 9 T20Is picking 7 wickets with a best bowling performance of 4/21.
In 2018 IPL, he played 5 matches and picked as many wickets for Mumbai Indians.

With Jofra Archer unavailable and Jasprit Bumrah off-colour, Mumbai Indians struggled greatly in the pace department. Daniel Sams, Riley Meredith and Tymal Mills could not provide pace bowling edge to MI. Barring Bumrah, Indian pacers too were not up to the mark in IPL 2022. MI Released Players: Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have decided to release long-serving Kieron Pollard for IPL 2023. The veteran allrounder was playing for Mumbai since IPL 2010. As per information available with InsideSport, MI have also decided to release Fabian Allen and Tymal Millis. MI have already submitted the list to the BCCI.
