Where Spurs play in 2023 a key test for SA
Unless the San Antonio Spurs earn a trip to the playoffs for the first time amid the pandemic, the team’s last home game at AT&T Center could be only days away as the telecom giant’s naming rights deal for the East Side arena is set to expire after this season. It’s been a good deal for AT&T Inc., which moved its headquarters out of San Antonio after signing off on the 20-year agreement. Now based in Dallas, AT&T is on the hook for significantly more cash with its stadium deal in Arlington, where the NFL Cowboys have managed only six playoff appearances — losing four of those games — since that agreement was signed in 2013.
