Today, high fashion and sportswear are no strangers to one another. Dozens of brands have explored the marriage between these two entities, with some – like INVINCIBLE and DAYZ – doing so without the use of obvious logos or other symbols.

Ahead of spring, the Taiwanese and Japanese imprints have reimagined the adidas Campus 80s through the lens of gender-neutral high fashion. To this end, the creatives have constructed the model’s upper out of tweed and in a mostly black or white color scheme. At quick glance, the design choice is unassuming, but campaign photography of the two adidas Originals offerings evokes images of the tweed jacket Coco Chanel developed in the 1920s.

Branding on the sidewalls and overlays on the spine deviate in material across both sneakers. Each Asian collaborator stamps its name on an upper heel. Underfoot, the adidas silhouette – which debuted in 1983 – keeps things simple in an off white tone, allowing for the stylish woven upper to rebel in the spotlight.

Enjoy a closer look at the shoes ahead. Both styles release on March 18, but only the black pair will release outside of INVINCIBLE and DAYZ platforms.
