With the end of the 2022-23 NBA season, more change is coming than just a new collective bargaining agreement and the dreaded second apron. The league will implement two key rule changes for the looming 2023-24 season as well — minor as they are, the contours of how games will be played will change for the Boston Celtics and their peers around the association.

The first change involves coaches’ challenges, where teams will receive a second challenge if their first one is successful. The second change addresses flopping penalties, with players receiving a non-unsportsmanlike technical foul for intentional acts to draw fouls.
