First teased in July, the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 4 releases on Thursday, November 17th, at 11 a.m. ET via amamaniere.com. A local in-store raffle, general raffle and Discord raffle begins today, November 7th, and ends on Saturday, November 12th.
And while important, The Whitaker Group has taken the highly-anticipated launch of its latest Air Jordan collaboration to shine a spotlight on the importance of voting during November 8th’s pivotal and critical U.S. Midterm Elections. On the eve of the event, the creative conglomerate releases a two-minute video accompanied by a call-to-action” “USE YOUR VOICE, USE YOUR VOTE.”
“We have always stated that what we do is about more than sneakers,” said James Whitner, owner and founder of The Whitaker Group, in an official press release for the AMM x AJ4. “While we have the anticipation and attention of the world on our next Jordan Brand project, it’s our responsibility to use our platform to ensure people – especially young people – show up to the polls and use their voice, use their vote and ask for the country to reflect their values…So while we have your attention – please vote, help someone get to the polls, volunteer in your community and speak up about the issues that are top of mind for you. The future belongs to you – take action.”
The Whitaker Group will observe a social media blackout on Election Day (November 8th) in order to leverage its platform for informational purposes. Additionally, Whitner and team will highlight community content gathered from the hashtag “#myvoiceholdspower” throughout the day. Continue ahead to watch the aforementioned two-minute video and to enjoy campaign imagery of the Jordan 4 by A Ma Maniére, which drops online via the boutique’s webstore on Thursday, November 17th.
