Torino defender Gleison Bremer has put his Premier League suitors on alert by calling his exit ‘a matter of time’ following reports of imminent talks between Tottenham and the Serie A side.
Serie A Defender of the Year Bremer wants to play in the Champions League and earn a Brazil call-up, admitting that he is looking at offers at the end of a week when Spurs were said to have been ready to begin negotiations with Torino in London.
Bremer told ESPN via Sempre Inter: ‘I told the coach and the management [last summer]: “I want to change now.” So they told me: “Stay this year, help us. Next year, you can take the next step.”

Brazilian Bremer played 33 times for Torino and scored three goals to help his club finish 10th
‘The fans already know that I have this desire to play in the Champions League, to go there to earn a call-up to the Brazilian national team.
‘I need to play at a much better level, so I think it’s a matter of time. I’m analysing some proposals but I think that next season I will no longer play for Torino.’
Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici was poised to discuss the move during a visit from Torino director Davide Vagnati this week, according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport.
Transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio also said on Friday that Chelsea have tabled an ‘important proposal’ for Bremer.
Spurs boss Antonio Conte is seeking defensive recruits ahead of his first full season in charge
Inter have long had an agreement in place with Torino for Bremer and AC Milan could target him instead of Lille’s Sven Botman, Sempre claimed.
The Nerazzurri, who finished second to Milan on the final day of last season, are reportedly hoping to seal the signing of the 25-year-old next week.
Liverpool and Juventus have also been linked to former Atletico Mineiro star Bremer, who is thought to have an asking price of between €30million and €40million.
Bremer started all but five of Torino’s Serie A matches last season, missing their final two league games with an ankle injury.
The club’s Player of the Season was booked seven times on his way to helping Torino finish 10th and concede five fewer goals than any team outside of the top six in the Italian top flight.
