Former Vol Grant Williams made his first 2023 postseason appearance for Boston in its 130-122 loss to the Hawks Friday at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Williams did not start for the Celtics. He played 18 minutes and totaled 14 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
He was 4-for-4 from the field, all three-point attempts. Williams was 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
No. 2 seed Boston leads No. 7 Atlanta, 2-1, in the NBA Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.
Game No. 4 is Sunday in Atlanta.
Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT and the contest will be televised by TNT.
