After becoming the NBA’s leader for all-time made 3-pointers, Steph Curry added another All-Star appearance, his fourth NBA championship and his first NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award during the 2021-22 season to his already long list of achievements on the basketball court.

Despite having a decorated resume that features things like unanimous MVP awards and multiple NBA titles, it’s still not enough for some.

On a recent appearance on The Players Choice podcast, former NBA guard Mike James was asked to list his top-five players in the league. While listing players like Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid and LeBron James, the former Brooklyn Nets guard has one notable omission.

When explaining why he left Curry off his top five, James surprisingly went on to call the Golden State Warriors star guard “one dimensional.”

Via The Players Choice Podcast:

Steph — like how he plays and how he gets stuff off, it’s just kind of one-dimensional at times if that makes sense — He’s not the primary ball-handler a lot and for a point guard that kind of bothers me. But he does score off the dribble so I mean he’s a superstar. When you’re picking your top five, you’re kind of just nit-picking.
