Ex-Celtics center Tacko Fall to play on Jazz Summer League team originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Tacko Fall is getting another chance to showcase his talent.

NBA Summer League action in Las Vegas begins Thursday, July 7, and the Utah Jazz roster will include the 7-foot-6 center. The Jazz also will play in the Salt Lake City Summer League, which begins Tuesday.

Fall, who became a fan favorite with the Boston Celtics during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, now has an opportunity to impress the Jazz and potentially earn a spot on their regular season roster. Utah’s center situation is pretty interesting right now after the team reportedly traded star center Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

Here’s a look at the full Jazz Summer League roster featuring Fall.

Fall playing for the Jazz in Summer League is hardly a surprise. He made his NBA debut with the Celtics toward the end of Danny Ainge’s tenure as Boston’s president of basketball operations. Ainge is currently working in a similar role with the Jazz.

Fall last played in an NBA game for the Cleveland Cavaliers on Dec. 30, 2021.
