FIFA World Cup 2022: Singer Janaki Eashwar is set to perform at the FIFA World Cup Final Opening ceremony. Janaki is a 13-year old prodigy, who hails from Australia. She recently performed in the closing ceremony of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 final, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. She will be now be one of the performers in the star-studded line-up for the closing ceremony ahead of the World Cup final on 18th December 2022. Janaki became an internet sensation after participating in ‘The Voice’ Australia. She gained attention by singing the Carnatic raga Khamas in 2021. She wowed renowned musicians Keith Urban, Rita Ora and Jessica Maubo in the show.
Janaki shared the stage with Zimbabwean-born Thando Sikwila during the T20 World Cup 2022 final. Together they performed ‘Icehouse’s We Can Get Together’.
She has now been invited to perform in the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup. She will join other performers like Bollywood actor Norah Fatehi. Other Indian to perform on the night will be Bollywood star Siddhant Chaturvedi. The Gully Boy star is all set to represent India in the official FIFA World Cup Anthem. He will sing along with American rapper Lil’ Baby.
The final between Argentina and France is expected to begin at 8.30 PM IST. Lionel Messi’s who is leading Argentina is eyeing his first World Cup trophy, while France are looking to get their hands on the trophy for the second successive time.
