One fan learnt his lesson to never stand in the firing line – or even anywhere near it – after a YouTuber smoked him with his tee shot at an event.

Garrett Clark is a member of the Good Good YouTube crew, a golf-themed channel dedicated to trick shots and the fun side of the sport.

Clark is a good golfer, amassing 730,000 followers of his own, and can reportedly pipe the ball 300 yards.

But even the best golfers can mess up, and one fan learnt that the hard way.

At an event held by the channel, the Good Good Championship at Dobson Ranch in Arizona, Clark teed it up this week.

In a viral clip, he can be seen surrounded by fans on the first tee with the crowd even riskily extending down both sides in front on the tee box.

However, unfortunately from one of those spectators he hooks his tee shot and drills a fan.

Another clip from a different angle in front of the tee box shows the shot whipping through the air before clobbering the person seemingly holding the phone.

The poor innocent bystander appears to be young man called Val, @va_smn on Instagram, and Clark shared a photo to his profile of them together following the incident.

Clark reportedly found the fan after the hit to apologize and gifted him some merchandise.

Clark captioned his photo: ‘Happy to be on the course with my man Val! Glad all is well, let’s have ourselves a great day.’

In the comments section, PGA Tour professional and joker Min Woo Lee quipped, ‘Tell em to bring me my money – val (probably),’ with a wink face emoji.

Clark came up with the idea for Good Good while he was in college and launched the channel in 2018, according to Golf Magic.

He initially used the channel to film wild trick shots as well as document his journey to becoming professional.

He decided to leave his professional dream behind and stick to making content full time.

Since then, Stephen Castaneda, Colin Ross, Matt Scharff, Max Putnam, Tom ‘Bubbie’ Broders and Luke Kwon have come aboard and the group’s golfing content has seen them attract 1.19 million subscribers.
