Horrific footage has emerged showing the aftermath of a serious car crash involving Gillingham players on a quaint suburban road.

A luxury BMW sports saloon car was shown to be severely damaged as it perched on the tarmac in front of a driveway with debris strewn across the road.

The car appears to have been involved in a heavy collision with a wall that bore the brunt of the force as huge chunks of brick and stone were shown to have been dislodged.

Another car, a black Lexus SUV parked on the driveway, can be seen with pieces of the wall sitting across its roof while the BMW is parked up in front.

The airbags of the German saloon vehicle deployed during the accident with the police also attending the scene of the crash that is reportedly located on a street with a school on it.

Several Gillingham players can be seen standing outside the vehicle after the crash in Kent

Gillingham players can be seen standing next to the vehicle while still wearing their training kit as they assess the extent of the damage after getting out of the vehicle unscathed.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning with an onlooker saying the vehicle spun around and went over the brickwork before hitting a parked vehicle, as reported by Kent Online.

The Gillingham players believed to be involved in the crash are former Crystal Palace and Wales star Jonny Williams, along with Timothee Dieng, Macauley Bonne and George Lapsie.

Gillingham declined to comment on the incident when approached by Mail Sport.

Players can be seen hugging each other after the crash with a black Range Rover later arriving on the scene as well.

The crashed-out car was later taken away with a concerned neighbour explaining: ‘It looked like everyone was okay because there were no ambulances.

‘The players got picked up by colleagues in other cars and then the driver [of the BMW] waited.

‘Police were there waiting for recovery, but it looks like the car has been recovered now.

‘It looks like it’s caused a lot of damage. The neighbours are shocked. The guy who lived there was opening his curtains as it happened so he saw it.

‘This road has a school on it. It’s lucky it’s school holiday time or people could have been hurt.’
