Tennis glamour girl Eugenie Bouchard puts her horrible Australian Open campaign behind her as she soaks up the sun on a trip to the beach

Eugenie Bouchard’s tennis career may be on the slide but the sport’s glamour queen was still turning heads on a recent trip to a beach in Miami in the United States.

The Canadian star won the Nuremberg Cup in 2014 and followed that up with a runner-up finish at Wimbledon along with semi-final appearances at the Australian Open and Roland Garros before a quarter-final run at Melbourne Park in 2015.

Despite seeing her world ranking plummet to 318, Bouchard looked relaxed and happy as she enjoyed time in and out of the water in a leopard print bikini

Despite once having a world ranking of No.5, Bouchard has struggled to return to that form ever since and has slumped to world No.318 in 2013.

The 28-year-old attempted once more to revive her flagging career at the Australian Open but was bundled out 3-6 6-1 4-6 to American Ashlyn Krueger in qualifying.

She also withdrew from the Wimbledon Championships in 2022 as there were no ranking points on offer because of the exclusion of Russian and Belarussian players.

While Bouchard has battled with form and injury, she was not letting that get her down as she frolicked in the water on a clear and warm 24 degree winter day wearing a leopard print bikini.

While Bouchard’s tennis career might be on the skids, she remains a fan favourite with over 2.3million Instagram followers.

The two remain friends to this day, although Bouchard say the fallout had been ‘ugly’ with all of Goehrke’s girlfriends after that ‘hating me’.

‘All his girlfriends literally hate me. We’ve talked about it so much. Every girl that he ever hangs out with is like, ‘Why would you want to hang out with me when you hung out with Genie?’,’ she said.

‘I’m ruining his dating life. It’s so sad.

‘We hang out once a year. I’m not a threat, relax.’
