Joel Embiid has been an absolute force since returning in late November from a foot injury that sidelined him for four games. He’s scored at least 30 points in seven of Philadelphia’s last eight, most recently dropping the line of 34 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, four steals, two blocks, and two 3-pointers on the Warriors in a December 16 Philadelphia victory.

During his eight-game run, Embiid is averaging nearly 35 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, nearly two steals, 1.4 blocks, and just over one 3-pointer in nearly 36 minutes per game, shooting 55.6% from the field, 52.9% from 3, and 87% from the foul line. A top five player in 9-cap formats for the season, Embiid is ranked third over the last two weeks, trailing Andrew Wiggins, who’s only played in one game during the stretch, and Nikola Jokic. Shooting better than 53% from the field, Embiid leads the league in scoring with an average of 33.3 points per game after winning the scoring title last season.
