Dime Skateboarding has remained a routine and integral collaborator alongside the sneaker ecosystems various SB labels for nearly two decades. Remaining committed to a busy collaborative schedule in 2023 with ASICS, Reebok and Vans, the Montreal-based brand has announced its second installment with adidas in 2023 featuring a renovated take on the board-ready Busenitz Vulc II.
In an homage to the original circa 2009 Busenitz Pro from adidas global Pro team rider Dennis Busenitz, the Busenitz Vulc II explores a duo of compelling compositions outfitted with two-toned 3-Stripes. Sharing a clad suede upper across both pairs, a greyscale “Clear Granite” consumes the near entirety of the first effort with color matches adhering to the vulcanized sole unit underfoot. In a compelling contrast, both “Wonder Mauve” and “Wonder Quartz” pair off along the profile 3-stripes while anchoring the tread and insole with a pastel finish.
Achieving a welcomed seasonal aesthetic, the second colorway adheres to a fall-friendly “Wheat” treatment composed of a “Cardboard” tinted upper, tongue, laces and sole unit. Accompanied by gold-foil Dime logos at the collar, the neutral-toned pair’s 3-Stripes are split into an opposing palette with “Dark Brown” contrasting a seldom grey appearance.
The Dime x adidas Busenitz Vulc II collection is scheduled to release on December 9th at Dime storefronts and via the adidas Confirmed app for a retail price of $90 while broader release at adidas.com and select skate shops will take place on the 11th. In the meantime, both colorways can be seen ahead in official imagery.
