The injury bug has been a real fly in the ointment for the Los Angeles Lakers and their fans over the last couple of years.

Multiple injuries to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, among other players, have prevented the team from being able to rise to its potential. Even after it has seemingly changed its constitution and possibly its karma after the Russell Westbrook trade, the injuries have continued.

James missed a month with a right foot tendon injury, while D’Angelo Russell, one of the players received in the Westbrook deal, was out for eight games with two different ailments.

Russell was also held out of the second half of Sunday’s win over the Houston Rockets because of left foot soreness, causing fans to fear he would miss more time.

But the good news is that he is listed as probable for Tuesday’s game against the Utah Jazz.

Russell has had a major positive impact on the Lakers since arriving nearly two months ago, and his health will be one key to their playoff hopes moving forward.
