Cam Reddish will miss the rest of the season with a right shoulder separation.

The Knicks acquired Reddish, Solomon Hill, and a 2025 second-round pick from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Kevin Knox and a 2022 first-rounder on Jan. 13, but Reddish’s minutes were sparse.

There were reports that Tom Thibodeau was against the Knicks trading for Reddish after he did not play in four of his first seven games after the trade – when he did play, he was on the floor for less than 16 total minutes. The Knicks were also not against shopping him at the trade deadline.

Reddish had appeared in the Knicks’ last 12 games, getting more playing time with Kemba Walker being sidelined for the season. His best game since the trade came on Sunday, where he scored 15 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter in their win against the Los Angeles Clippers.

It will be a six-week recovery for Reddish, so if they somehow sneak into, and make a run in, the playoffs, he could be available. But nonetheless, he will surely be ready for the 2022-23 season.
