Nottingham Forest, Everton and Fulham are all pitching to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea.

Hudson-Odoi also has interest from Steven Gerrard’s Saudi side Al-Ettifaq – which could be an attractive prospect for the player – and French club Lille.

Steve Cooper is key – he was Hudson-Odoi’s England Under 17 manager when England won the World Cup – and Forest remain persuasive.

His camp are expecting a busy couple of days for the 22-year-old. 

Hudson-Odoi is surplus to requirements at Chelsea and has been training with their under-21s since returning following a loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen last season.

Hudson-Odoi’s former England youth boss Steve Cooper is key to Nottingham Forest’s move

Hudson-Odoi had been one of the stars of Cooper’s under-17 side who won the World Cup at their age group in 2017. 

He went on to break into the Chelsea side but an Achilles injury in 2019 halted his progress and he is now set to move on in a bid to kickstart his career.

Hudson-Odoi last played for the Blues in March 2022.

The winger made 21 appearances on loan at Bayer Leverkusen last season, scoring once.

He fell out of favour in the second half of the campaign, with only a single substitute appearance in the Bundesliga from the end of February.
