Caitlyn Jenner’s mother is not a fan of “The Kardashians” after the former Olympian was excluded from the Hulu reality series.
“I think that Kardashian show is the most senseless thing I have ever watched,” Esther Jenner told The US Sun Monday. “But my two granddaughters, Kendall and Kylie, created it, and I love them dearly.
“They’re my blood,” Esther, 96, continued. “And my four step-grandchildren — Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Robert — feel like they’re mine, too.”
Although Caitlyn, 72, said in March that she was “happy” about her family’s reported nine-figure deal with Hulu, she later tweeted that she learned “through the press” that she had been “explicitly excluded from the new show.”
To make matters worse, Caitlyn did not receive an invitation to her former stepdaughter Kourtney Kardashian’s Italian wedding to Travis Barker in May, a snub that a source told Page Six “shocked” the retired decathlete.
But Esther does not believe Caitlyn is too broken up about it.
“I don’t know if [Caitlyn] even cares. It’s something we haven’t even discussed,” she said.
In fact, the nonagenarian is more concerned about the former “I Am Cait” star’s political ambitions than reality TV drama.
“I think Caitlyn is putting [her] life on the line,” Esther shared.
Caitlyn, a Republican, ran in the 2021 California gubernatorial recall election, only to receive 1 percent of the vote as Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom prevailed. She has since expressed interest in another run for office.
“I fear for [her]. [Caitlyn] is a very strong person. [She] has a lot of courage,” Esther said, adding that she wishes the reality star “would get a concealed permit” to “carry a gun” despite having two “good watch dogs” at home.
“We’re very close. We probably talk three or four times a week. I have to live with whatever decisions [she] makes and support [her] in whatever [she] chooses to do. I’m not in control,” Esther added. “But I think [she] would be putting [herself] in a dangerous position [if she runs for office again], so I’m not too sure.”
Esther went on to evoke her late son, Burt Jenner, who died in a car accident in 1976.
“I lost one son when he was 18. I don’t want to lose another [child],” she said.
