Brooklyn Nets center Day’Ron Sharpe has been making an impact both on and off the court during his two seasons in the NBA. Ever since he was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 29th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of the University of North Carolina and traded to Brooklyn, Sharpe has never forgotten where he came from.

Per Eric Gullickson of WITN, Sharpe will be hosting his summer basketball camp on Saturday for the second time in as many years. Sharpe holds the camp at his high school, South Central in Winterville, North Carolina, and the camp is for players from fourth grade through high school.

Sharpe, 21, native of Greenville, North Carolina, has been splitting his time with the Nets between Brooklyn and Long Island in order for him to get more reps playing at the NBA level. At the moment, Sharpe is the backup center to starter Nic Claxton so things are looking up for Sharpe. Sharpe is averaging 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for his career.
