The Brooklyn Nets have been making various moves throughout the offseason with the prior signings of Dennis Smith Jr. and Lonnie Walker IV. While it looked like they were done making moves for the rest of the summer, it looks like they are just beginning.

According to a report by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Nets are finalizing a one-year contract with forward Darius Bazley. Bazley, 23, came into the NBA as the 23rd overall pick by the Utah Jazz in the 2019 NBA Draft. However, Bazley did not play a game for the Jazz as he was traded on draft night to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Bazley spent most of his four seasons with the Thunder and has averaged 9.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 41.1% from the field and 31% from three-point land. For the Nets, Bazley could be the third big man that Brooklyn can turn to if they need additional size outside of starter Nic Claxton and backup center Day’Ron Sharpe.
