Bronny James Among Student-athletes To Sign Endorsement Deal With Nike

Bronny James, the eldest son of LeBron James, was among five student-athletes to sign a name, image and likeness endorsement contract with Nike on Monday, the company announced.

James, a four-star prospect at Sierra Canyon High School, turned 18 years old on Thursday and has been actively helping unveil the new Nike LeBron 20 that launched last month. He has always worn Nikes and will now continue to do so as an endorsed athlete.

In addition to James, Nike also signed Iowa point guard Caitlin Clark, Stanford guard Haley Jones, JuJu Watkins of Sierra Canyon and No. 2 prospect in 2023 DJ Wagner. The apparel company plans to team up with each player to help give back to their communities.

James has not yet announced his intentions after high school next year. LeBron and his mother, Savannah, have said that they believe Bronny is leaning toward going to college over professional programs like the NBA G League Ignite or Overtime Elite.

He and LeBron visited Ohio State last month and attended a Buckeyes football game for his first known recruiting visit. He spent about four hours touring the facilities and watching practice prior to taking in the festivities of the football game.

Bronny, who is listed at 6 feet, 4 inches, recently turned in a strong summer of performances in events across the country and in France with the California Basketball Club. The showing prompted ESPN to bump his class ranking up from No. 40 to No. 35 in its latest update.
