The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers have played one another a total of four times in the 2022-23 NBA regular season, with the Celtics coming away with a win in three of those four meetings. The final of the four tilts played by the two Atlantic Division rivals saw the Sixers come away with the win on their own home court.
But it needed 52 points out of star big man Joel Embiid on top of the Celtics missing two of their best players in the game to get the job done. Now, the two ball clubs are slated to face off in the 2023 Eastern Conference semifinals, and Philly may have to start the series without Embiid as the Cameroonian center nurses a sprained knee back to health.
