The Oklahoma City Thunder opened their 2022-23 regular season with a 115-108 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — who played his first NBA game in seven months. The 24-year-old guard scored a game-high 32 points. Josh Giddey also contributed with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Timberwolves were led by newcomer center Rudy Gobert, who finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell added 20 points to their win.
