- When we come to the ground they always give us support. We try to give our hundred percent to give smiles to our fans.
- Of course, the similarities are the same and we will like to give our 100 percent in tomorrow’s game and try to win.
- The way the team made a comeback in the last four matches will give us confidence in the final.
- Excitement is there and we are confident and we also have the belief to do well. Hopefully the result will be good.
- I think England’s team is one of the best and we played a series against them where we both played competitively.
- Definitely the start was not good but the way team played. They played like lions. First, we reached the semifinal (T20 WC 2021) then we reached the Asia Cup final, and now final in WC.
- Of course, powerplays matter a lot. We would like to play good cricket in power plays.
- We believe in almighty. We believe in God and we have grabbed our opportunities and hope he will help us win the World Cup as we all.
- When you meet the Chairman you get confidence and that helps you a lot ahead of final.
- We are not focusing on rain. We want to focus on performance. We would like to have a full match but not a rain-curtailed one.
- As a captain when you don’t perform there is some pressure when you don’t perform. It’s great that the middle order have stepped up and have taken responsibility. This gives me a lot of confidence.
- Toss doesn’t really matter. We will decide everything on the day of the Final looking at the conditions.
- There is no pressure and I have not seen the tweet (of PAK PM taking a dig on India). So, I can’t comment.
- England is a good team and they have a good bunch of players and we would like to execute our plans.
Babar Azam Press Conference: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam will face the media from all across the globe ahead of the t20 World Cup final on Sunday. Pakistan reached the finals after sealing a thumping 7-wicket win over NewZealand at the SCG on Wednesday.
The Men in Green held a practice session on Friday, but have cancelled their pre-scheduled training session with the squad opting for a rest a day before the finals. PAK vs ENG LIVE: Babar Azam Press Conference talking points
- Pakistan have opted against training a day before the final
- Babar Azam will attend the press conference joining the squad for a rest day.
- It is Pakistan’s 3rd T20 WC final and their first since their title-winning run in 2009.
- Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have returned to the runs, proving much-needed confidence to the outfit.
- Shaheen Afridi is also back to his best after a lacklustre start to the tournament.
Pakistan are expected to field their winning combination at the MCG that trumped SA, Bangladesh, and NZ. However, eyes will be on two rather ‘in-form’ openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam as Pakistan aim to shoot down consistent England in their familiar territory.
At a familiar Melbourne pitch, it will be advantageous for Pakistan. Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz have been successful. Shadab especially has been exceptional and he will be looking to make lives difficult for English batters. However, Haris Rauf will be the key to stop the flow of runs in the middle overs.
