The Brooklyn Nets‘ most-used starting lineup this season was given a grade of B for the season, according to a recent post by Bleacher Report. The lineup that was most-used by the Nets this season is Spencer Dinwiddie, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Nic Claxton.
The first time that this lineup played together was in a 101-98 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Feb. 11. This group came together after the trade deadline during which Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were traded. Since then, the starting five has played 316 minutes together and during that time, the group has a net rating of +3.0.
This combination has played 633 possessions and even though it’s far from the best starting five in the league, this quintet has been one of the more interesting lineups to watch. Even though Brooklyn’s future will be the topic of discussion in the offseason, especially with Ben Simmons not playing, this starting lineup has been fun to watch. Here’s what B/R had to say:
“Either way, this lineup isn’t just fun. It’s darn-near every hipster NBA writer’s dream scenario.
With Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson and Dorian Finney-Smith, there is total switchability at spots 2 through 4. Even Spencer Dinwiddie (6’5″) has some wing characteristics. And Nic Claxton is far more mobile than most traditional 5s.”
