Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny is on the verge of a potential north London exit amid growing transfer interest in the midfielder.

The Egyptian is the subject of offers from Turkish sides Trabzonspor and Besiktas as the Gunners consider offers for fringe players.

The 31-year-old has made just one appearance in the Premier League for the Gunners this term, as he continues to be overlooked by Mikel Arteta.

Elneny previously spent the 2019-20 on loan in Turkey with Besiktas, where he made 36 appearances across the entire season.

Back in February, Elneny vowed to ‘give everything’ to help Arsenal achieve their potential after signing a one-year contract extension with the club.

At the time, he said: ‘I’m so happy, I love this club and our supporters so much and I’ll give everything to help us be the best we can be, every day I’m here.

‘It makes me so proud to have represented this amazing club since 2016. The spirit and togetherness we have in our squad right now is so positive and I’m so happy I have extended my contract.’
